We proudly announce the 157th Dutch Cow Festival, scheduled to be held in October of 2012 in the lovely Dutch village of Oene. Don't miss this enjoyable day in which people from all over the EU come and participate in this vibrant one-day festival.
What's on the agenda:
Of course you'll visit the cattle market. In the old days farmers would bring their cattle and trade their cows, horses, and small farm-animals early in the morning. After that they would enjoy the rest of the morning talking in the local pub and drinking their coffee or "jonge klare". Nowadays trading is forbidden due to strict cattletransport regulations.

The local church youth organize a huge fleamarket where they sell all kinds of goods donated by the community, both new and secondhand. The revenues are used for a one year support of 15 adoption children in thirdworld countries. On the villagemarket you will find so many stands: outdoor life, clothing, books, etc. Enjoy the stroll at your own leisure and have some food or a drink at one of the many catering stands.
